Playground visits

With such beautiful weather these past few weeks (70's and sunny), I've been taking Nina to playgrounds during the day. There'a s really nice one next to our condo. She LOVES it! Her favorite things to do is go down the slide and just watch all the other kids playing.

This picture was taken at Eureka park where I used to go to summer camp as a kid:
I am amazed at how well she climbs up stairs without my help...it makes me nervous as heck but it's cute to see she is doing things on her own. This is what Nina does when I tell her it's time to leave! She runs away and swings her arms back and forth!

a night out

This past Friday, we all went out for dinner at the new Texas de Brazil that just opened in Hallandale Beach. We were a big table - there was some family visiting from the Phillipines and they all wanted to meet miss Nina. It was a lot of fun! Nina was great and ate a lot of meat! She liked the beef ribs and parmesan chicken best! She had so much fun playing with Lolo. She followed him around like a little duckling.

Training frankie

Nina loves to throw the ball to frankie and watch him catch it...here they are playing:

It's been cold in the last few weeks (even down to the 30's!) Nina finally got to use a lot of the winter clothes she got for her birthday:
My little miss lumberjack - Check out the boots!
One of my high school friends, Lorena came down for a visit last week. Here's Nina and her auntie:

Christmas 2009

It's been a really long time since I've updated the blog. The holidays kept us busy. We drove up to Orlando to spend Christmas with my sister, Tina and her family. We stayed in a hotel in Downtown Disney, it was beautiful and the weather was cool - it did feel Christmas-y by Florida standards and was in the mid-50's. Here are a few shots of our trip:

Nina with her cousins, Chris and Annie
Touching the hotel tree with Lolo One of her favorite toys - a Yooo Gabba Gabba boombox!Dad and his grandkids except Malaya who was in Austin.Another one of Nina's favorite toys - a new red car! haha - thanks Lola Tatec!Nina also got a cool water table she could splash her hands in - little did we know how much she would love it - she got soaked the first time she used it and cried and threw a huge tantrum when we pulled her away from it! Frankie thinks holds the best tasting water in south FL!Nina's ultimate gift was her very own cottage. Gosh with all these new toys, we are quickly running out of space in our 2 bedroom condo! we had nowhere else to put this but in our bedroom! haha - she loves it though and spends so much time in it all day, she even likes to eat her snacks at the little table
